About Social Synergies Support
A structured, community-centered model designed to bridge the space between therapy and everyday connection.
Our MissionTo bridge the gap between therapy and community connection, creating a supportive safety net for adults seeking emotional growth, practical coping skills, and authentic human support.
At Social Synergies Support, we believe healing happens in relationships. Our goal is to make that connection accessible, guided, and sustainable, no matter where you are in life.
Why Social Synergies Support Exists
Many adults reach a point where they want continued growth and meaningful connection but may not need — or no longer have access to — ongoing therapy.
At the same time, most social spaces aren’t designed for the kind of thoughtful conversation or emotional skill-building many people are looking for.
Social Synergies Support was created to bridge that gap.
Our groups provide a structured environment where participants can connect with others, practice emotional skills, and stay engaged in their growth within a steady, professionally facilitated setting.
Our Approach
Social Synergies Support groups are facilitated by credentialed social workers who guide discussion, introduce practical tools, and help participants apply emotional insight to everyday life.
The model emphasizes:
• Structured conversation
• Present-focused reflection
• Practical emotional skills
• Respectful peer connection
Participation is encouraged but never forced. The goal is to create a space where growth feels steady, supportive, and grounded.
Meet the Founder
Melissa Bernabe, MSW
Founder, Social Synergies Support
Behind Social Synergies Support is a simple observation: people grow best when they are both supported and connected.
Melissa Bernabe founded Social Synergies Support after nearly a decade of work across multiple areas of the mental health and behavioral health fields.
Over the past eight years, her experience has included work within community health centers, county-level behavioral health initiatives in Los Angeles County, intensive outpatient programs, and leadership roles across both healthcare and technology organizations focused on community engagement and equity.
For the past two years, Melissa has also worked directly with clients of all ages, facilitating structured conversations and supporting emotional growth and skill-building in guided environments.
Across these roles, one pattern became increasingly clear: many people are deeply in need of meaningful connection, even when they are already doing important work in individual therapy. While therapy offers powerful tools for insight and healing, it does not always provide the relational practice and community people often seek.
At the same time, many informal or online support spaces lack the structure needed for a real connection to develop. Social Synergies Support was created to offer a middle ground: a structured, facilitator-led space where people can engage in thoughtful conversation, build practical emotional skills, and form meaningful connections with others.
Many of the groups are facilitated by licensed social workers, creating a professional and supportive environment for participants. Melissa’s work is grounded in the belief that growth happens most naturally when people feel both supported and connected.
Who These Groups Are Designed For
Social Synergies Support groups are designed for adults who:
• Value meaningful conversation and reflection
• Want structured support without intensive clinical care
• Are interested in building practical emotional skills
• Appreciate connecting with others navigating similar experiences
Participants may attend alongside therapy, between therapy periods, or as a standalone source of support and connection.
